Jason Smith from the Owen McVeigh Foundation wanted to send this message to Charlie Fearns and his family:
“I was honoured on behalf of the Owen McVeigh foundation to meet Charlie Fearns and his wonderful family Dad Rob, Mum Sophie and his younger brother Harrison today at their family home.
They all embark upon a journey to Seattle this Tuesday 26th July to receive groundbreaking T cell treatment for Charlie who is sadly but courageously battling leukaemia for the THIRD time.
The generosity of the people of Liverpool and further afield has helped raise funds needed for treatment through the fundraising site Charlies Chance. You can support Charlie by clicking the link below:-
On behalf of all at the Owen McVeigh foundation we wish Charlie a speedy recovery and look forward to working with Rob and Sophie when they get back to help more children battling this illness.
We hope the boys feel comfortable in their new Barca and Madrid kits and surprises that will be arriving on Monday so they can travel in comfort.
The family also have our new pin badges and Owen Tshirts and are looking forward to posting on the ‘where’s Owen map’!
GOOD LUCK GUYS!”
